GM powertrain renamed GM global propulsion systems to reflect EV work
To reflect its growing involvement with alternative fuel technologies, General Motors has renamed its powertrain unit to GM Global Propulsion Systems. GM coined the division formerly known as GM Powertrain 24 years ago. Today, the group consists of more than 8,600 people who design and engineer all kinds of propulsion-related systems. Almost 50 percent of GM’s powertrain unit is involved with alternative or electrified propulsion systems, GM says. (…)
